Brainrot Ahead

I've spent over 16 years holding onto hope for a proper sequel to the game, but the guy who directed it dipped from Sqen. Good for him, I'm certainly not mad given that they butchered Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy! by removing entire chunks of story and dialogue, butchering the original tone of the entire game in favor of appealing to a crowd which would've been satisfied with a skip button. My neverending complaining and one-sided beef with Sqen will be on constant display here alongside my absolute adoration for this one singular title in the series.

Chocobo Barn: Chocobo's are an invaluable means of transport in the Snowfields. The monks who reside here are expert riders, and they take very good care of their mounts. For they all know, that in the end, they must rely on the chocobos to save them from danger. Much research on wild chocobos that the monks have rescued is done here as well.

Snowfields: Wild chocobo nests can be found in the numerous caves that litter the rock surface in the area. Wild chocobos are on the brink of extinction after being excessively hunted, and the local monks are now working to protect the few that are left.

Slow Down

I haven't been obsessed with this game for 16 years, but I have been for over 2 years straight. Affectionately? It's an interactive movie. I wish people would slow down and treat it like it was intended to be not because I think it's the right way to play, but because it's an enjoyable experience. Get lost, go look around, fiddle with things. There's so much to do and your objective will be waiting for you. The OST is incredible, the sights are marvelous for a Wii game, and there are plenty of things to do that aren't going to be shoved into your face. The Royal Stadium is a great example. You can join the red or blue team and play kickerbaul for no reason other than to do so. The Royal Stadium, Airship Dock, Sea Grotto, and Silent Spring are all completely missable areas if you just follow the plot route mindlessly. The one benefit to rushing, however, is the New Game+ feature which lets you keep what you gained in the last run and rewards the player with a new opening cutscene.
