Chocobo Barn: Chocobo's are an invaluable means of transport in the Snowfields. The monks who reside here are expert riders, and they take very good care of their mounts. For they all know, that in the end, they must rely on the chocobos to save them from danger. Much research on wild chocobos that the monks have rescued is done here as well.

Snowfields: As if the terrain itself wasn't treacherous enough, this area also has a high population of monsters. It is a dangerous area even for monks with knowledge of the terrain, and many people go missing here every year.
Snowfields: Wild chocobo nests can be found in the numerous caves that litter the rock surface in the area. Wild chocobos are on the brink of extinction after being excessively hunted, and the local monks are now working to protect the few that are left.
